Network Performance Indicators
Consistent performance issues with the network are indicative of, but not limited to:
- Net new users
- Net new network-attached devices (servers, desktops/laptops, printers)
- New desktop business applications
- New local or remote server-based business applications
- New functionality in existing business applications
- Increased use of existing business applications
Periodic performance issues with the network are indicative of, but not limited to:
- Internet downloads
- Interactive internet use such as real-time video, animation or music
- Large email attachment downloads
- Large print volumes, particularly graphic-intensive
- Mobile users who access files on their home servers
- File sharing on remote servers
- Periodic, ad-hoc use of local or remote business applications
